Description

Pinus elliottii

A medium to large hardwood yellow pine with a rounded top and broom like needles. Good for reforestation because of its rapid growth rate. The needles are 5”-11” long and grow in clusters of 2 or 3. 5”-8” pine cones are produced annually. This tree has a high soil adaptability, it can grow in sandy, infertile, flatland, or swampy areas.
