Description

Quercus laurifolia

A hard wood tree commonly grown for shade and its wood use. A heavy producer of acorns, laurel oaks provide wildlife with an important source of food. Leaves are smooth, flat, and green; 3-4” long with an oblong shape. Acorns are 1/2” round, brown fruit that grows in Spring and Fall.
